Gill Russell has a background in both the arts and sciences. She has more than ten years of experience running a small planetarium where she created and presented many live shows on various themes. She also produces original soundtracks, and background music for planetarium shows.

Gill is an installation artist whose most recent project has been to work as Artist in Residence in Glenuig as part of the Highland Constellation Project in 2007.
